Dr. Rigsbee's goal is to make sure that all of your teeth
work together to give you a healthy, beautiful smile. To do
this, he will help you achieve healthy occlusion, also known
as a "proper bite", through the use of expansion
appliances, extraction alternatives or other treatment options.
When you have healthy occlusion, you will be esthetically
satisfied, have good bite patterns, be less likely to develop
gum disease and minimize wear on your teeth. A proper bite
can also help decrease potential TMJ symptoms such as jaw
pain, tension-type headaches and facial pain.
Collaborating with other dental specialists.
If Dr. Rigsbee determines that you need care outside that
of orthodontics, he will refer you to the appropriate specialist.
Dr. Rigsbee works closely with area periodontists, prosthodontists,
endodontists, general dentists and oral surgeons to provide
patients with the most efficient care and best outcomes possible. |

It' s no secret that you want your child' s
teeth to look right and work their best. Early orthodontics
known as dentofacial orthopedics can help achieve these goals.
Dr. Rigsbee' s treatment will help your child' s permanent
teeth grow into the right place and guide jaw development
while they' re growing. Dentofacial orthopedics offers many
benefits, including:
- Improving your child' s appearance with proper
jaw alignment
- Minimizing the need for extractions or surgical
correction in the future
- Helping correct overbites, open bites and crossbites
- Shortening or improving the results of second
phase of treatment (full braces)
The American Association of Orthodontists recommends that
children as young as age 7 see an orthodontist, so schedule
your appointment with Dr. Rigsbee today.
As a father of three, Dr. Rigsbee knows kids as much as he
knows children' s orthodontics. He is dedicated to making
orthodontics a really fun, educational, positive experience
for you and your child. He encourages parents to participate
in their child' s treatment, because it is a great way to
help them get the most
out of their orthodontic care. What' s more, Dr. Rigsbee educates
children on how to keep their teeth clean and what foods should
be avoided in order to prevent damaging braces. |
